4 Ab Workouts You Can Do at Home If you want to have a more defined abdomen and stronger core, the good news is that you don’t always have to hit the gym, nor do you need any equipment. Plenty of great ab workouts can be done at home on your own. Here are 4 of these workouts you can do: 1. Cross Mountain Climbers First, get into a high plank position, with your arms straight, palms flat on the ground, and your wrists directly under your shoulders. Make sure that your body forms a straight line from your head to heels, and that your butt isn’t raised or is drooping. Engage your core and bring your left knee to your right elbow. Then, return your foot to the starting position. Next, bring your right knee to your left elbow. Repeat this several times and do it as quickly as you can. 2. Planks First, hold yourself up with your arms, palms facing the floor, and your hands shoulder-width apart. Make sure that your shoulders are right above your wrists. With your feet hip-width apart, engage your core, butt, and quads, ensuring that your legs are extended straight out behind you. Hold this position for about a minute or for as long as you can. 3. Windshield Wiper Lie on the floor with your face up and your arms straight out, so that your body forms a “T”. Then, expend your legs upwards, towards the ceiling. While in this position, make sure to engage your core. Lower both your legs to the right as far as possible without lifting your shoulders off the floor. Do the same towards the left and continue these alternate movements. 4. Squat Thrust First, stand with your arms at your side and your feet shoulder-width apart. Push your hips back and bend your knees so that you are in a deep squat position while your hands are on the floor. Jump backward such that you land in a high plank position. Then, quickly jump your feet back in the original position towards your hands, then stand back up to the starting position. Repeat this movement. Ab workouts may not require any equipment but this doesn’t mean they are easy. In fact, they can be extremely challenging and you are likely to wake up with sore muscles. CBD is known to help greatly with post-workout recovery, thanks to its anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties.
